His TV play OTJ, 1985, was runner up in the Radio Times Drama Awards. He wrote for Jupiter Moon, a BSB soap opera, and contributed the still popular drama STIs to the BBC Turning Points series. He has also adapted his novel, 15, Going On 20, for BBC TV. His novel Keeping Faith, 1988, won the TSB Peninsular Prize.
He has contributed articles to publications as diverse as Penthouse, The Times Higher Education Supplement, the Author, the Guardian and Daily Telegraph, and talks for radio 3. He has been a judge for the Sony and Imison drama awards.
He is also a musician and composer, has played trumpet with Andy Shepherd and Keith Tippett, and performs and arranges the music for the City Lights jazz and poetry company, now in its twentieth year. |
